Saif-ul-Islam Khyber, the spokesperson for the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints, announced in a press release that during the previous year (1403 AH), the ministry’s official inspectors (Muhtasib) apprehended 935 individuals involved in sorcery and witchcraft activities across the country.
According to Khyber’s statement, among those detained, 125 were arrested in Takhar, 117 in Kabul, and 111 in Baghlan provinces.
He further elaborated that all individuals taken into custody have been referred to the judicial and legal authorities for further investigation and legal proceedings.
The Ministry of the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints, assured the nation that no individual would be permitted to engage in immoral practices or to create discord, division, or ethical corruption within society.
