In the political arena of Afghanistan, the dealings and changing of stances by some figures is not a new phenomenon, but Muhammad Mohaqqiq’s recent letter, written with utmost humility to the chief of the Pakistani army, Asim Munir, has shown the ultimate limit of shamelessness and lack of honor. Mohaqqiq, while naming Pakistan as a “peace-seeking country” and viewing the regime of that country as a liberator of the region, overlooks the fact that the aircraft of that very regime invade Afghanistan’s territory and stoke the flames of war. This letter is not just addressed to a sold-out general, but it is also an affront to the pure blood of the thousands of martyrs who have fallen victim to Pakistan’s proxy war.

Those who yesterday claimed to defend a specific ethnic group and class of the Afghan people, today shamelessly wear the collar of servitude to the regime whose hands are stained with the blood of Afghans. Mohaqqiq, while praising the peace-seeking(!) efforts of Pakistan, the “Omid” hospital, where the cries of the 400 martyrs’ grieving mothers and orphans still resonate in people’s ears. Attacking civilian targets and the genocide of Afghans are facts that have no place in the material and personal interests of Mohaqqiq’s corrupt perspective. This contradiction proves that for Mohaqqiq, no values are a priority; rather, his sole aim is to nurture and renew foreign intelligence interests and his previous servitude.

Mohaqiq claimed in his letter that Pakistan is a genuine seeker of peace and stability in the region. This is such a farce that even Pakistan’s domestic politicians feel embarrassed hearing it. Which peace? Is the peace that is claimed to be secured by the copy-paste tweet sent to Shehbaz Sharif by the Trump administration? The Mohaqqiq’s remarks indicate that the Afghan government’s opposing factions are so desperate for their political survival that they have taken on the role of hired propagandists to whitewash the killers.

Introducing Pakistan’s military and war robots as peace seekers is a clear injustice to Afghanistan’s national sovereignty and historical realities. Mohaqqiq has proven with this letter that he and similar circles cannot represent the pains of the Afghan people; rather, they are merely circles of individuals seeking new opportunities to perpetuate servitude in the chess game of regional intelligence operations. The Pakistani army, whose philosophy of presence is embedded in the instability of Afghanistan, cannot be concealed by the scripted praises of “mercenary faces” like Mohaqqiq.

The Afghan people and history will not forget these dark faces and their anti-national stances. Not only this letter from Mohaqqiq, but also the Pakistan-supporting stances of all other opponents, every line of these opponents bears the mark of Pakistan’s servitude on their foreheads, and this mark drives them further into infamy among the Afghan people every day. The peace and stability of Afghanistan are not in the hands of deal-makers and foreign agents like Mohaqqiq, but rather in the determination of the people who see the difference between friend and foe written in the blood-stained history.
