The National Statistics and Information Authority has reported a 0.2% decrease in food prices during the month of “Kab” (12th month) of the solar hijri year compared to the previous year.
The report highlights a 5.6% decline in wheat prices, a 5.9% in oils, and a 3.1% decline in the prices of various vegetables.
The data also indicates a 0.7% decline in the prices of non-food items, including a 4.4% decline in clothing prices and a 2.4% decline in the cost of household goods.
Furthermore, the report shows that the value of the Afghani currency against the US dollar was 72.4 AFN in the month of “Kab” (12th month of the solar hijri year) last year and 74.7 AFN in the month of “Salwagha” (11th month of the solar hijri year), reflecting a 3.1% increase in value compared to the previous month.
