Iran’s emergency management authority has reported that nearly 5,000 women were injured during recent strikes on Iran carried out by the United States and Israel.
The agency’s head, Jafar Miadfar, said that 4,993 women were injured and 258 others were killed, stressing that the victims had no involvement in any military or combat activities.
According to the published figures, 2,115 children under the age of 18 were injured in the strikes, including 124 children under five and 70 children under two.
In addition to the women killed, at least 221 children were also killed, including 18 under the age of five.
The report added that the highest number of fatalities was recorded in Tehran, Khuzestan, Lorestan, Isfahan, Kermanshah, and Ilam provinces.
It further noted that 118 healthcare workers were injured and 26 others were killed, alongside civilians.
