The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation Affairs announced that the Sheikh Mati Baba Refugee Township in Zabul province was officially inaugurated during a formal ceremony.

Qudratullah Badri, Director of the Zabul governor’s office, said the township spans nearly 4,330 jeribs of land and includes 5,000 residential plots designated for returning citizens.

He added that the township has been planned to provide comprehensive facilities, including healthcare centers, mosques, schools, madrasas (religious school), a Darul Uloom (semenary), recreational parks, sports grounds, commercial centers, and other essential services. Under the approved plan, each family will receive one residential plot measuring five biswas (500 meters square).
