Saifuddin Laton, spokesperson for Panjshir province, informed the media that new deposits of tourmaline, emerald, and lead have been confirmed in several districts across the province.
He noted that 250 emerald sites have been identified in Arib Dara of Paryan district, 10 tourmaline sites across Anaba, Rakha, Paryan, and Abshar districts, and lead mines in the Pashghur area of Hisa-1 district.
Laton emphasized that mining activities are being expanded to create greater employment opportunities for local residents.
Currently, thousands of Panjshir residents are engaged in mining, both directly and indirectly.
