The Ministry of Public Works announced that from the beginning to the end of Dalwa, over 414,883 metric tons of cargo were transferred through the country’s railway system.
According to the ministry, during this period, 328,970 tons were transferred through the Hairatan railway, 21,959 tons through the Aqina railway, 55,536 tons through the Torghundi railway, and 8,418 tons through the Khawaf-Herat railway. In total, 378,156 tons of fuel and other goods were imported into the country.
Additionally, during the same period, 36,727 tons of commercial goods—mainly dried fruit, citrus, and pomegranate juice—were exported and transited.
The Ministry of Public Works underscored that a rise in exports and transfers via the railway system will increase job creation, boost national revenues, and contribute to the country’s overall economic stability, development, and self-sufficiency.
