Pakistani media, citing security officials in Balochistan, report a sharp increase in violence across the province, with security incidents rising by 45.63 percent in the first half of 2025. Targeted killings have reportedly reached their highest level during this period.

Data shows that 501 security-related incidents were recorded over the past six months, resulting in 257 deaths and 492 injuries. Among these, 332 attacks specifically targeted security forces, killing 133 personnel and injuring 338 others.

By comparison, 344 such incidents were registered during the same period last year.

The surge in violence follows the recent announcement by the armed Baloch group, Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), which declared the end of a two-day operation called “Bam.” The group claimed it carried out 84 attacks across Balochistan during that operation.
