Pakistani Senator Mushtaq Ahmed said that Pakistan’s decision, under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, to join Donald Trump’s Gaza-related “Peace Board” effectively constitutes a step toward recognizing the Zionist regime.
He said that accepting the invitation reflects a political alignment which, in his view, amounts to de facto recognition of the Zionist regime by the Pakistani military regime. He added that the move symbolically aligns Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu under the political backing of Donald Trump.
According to the senator, this decision represents a clear act of disloyalty to Al-Aqsa Mosque, Gaza, and the Palestinian cause, and constitutes a marked departure from the Palestinian policy articulated by Allama Iqbal and Pakistan’s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
He called on political parties, religious scholars, and social media activists to raise their voices and mobilize against the American subservience and pro-Israel policies.
