Local sources in North Waziristan have informed Voice of Hindukush that Pakistani Taliban forces launched a series of attacks on military posts in the region last night. The attack began at approximately 1 a.m. in the Miranshah district, targeting a large military base known as “Pipla,” along with its surrounding defensive positions.
The attack resulted in the death of five Pakistani soldiers, with several others injured. The Pakistani Taliban succeeded in capturing the Pipla military base, which they later destroyed.
The sources also reported that the Pakistani Taliban carried out further attacks on military posts in the Tappi area, specifically targeting the Bosh Pikt, Pira’on Qala, and Piran Qala.
The Pakistani Taliban’s extensive attacks lasted for about an hour and a half, during which 15 members of Pakistan’s military and police forces were killed or injured.
