Sources told Voice of Hindukush that the Pakistani Taliban have released two Pakistani military spies, identified as Syed Alam and Aminur Rahman, after their capture. Their release was secured on the conditional guarantee of local tribal elders.
According to the source, the two individuals were arrested separately in Tank and South Waziristan. As part of their release conditions, they pledged to abandon their activities.
Notably, just a day earlier, the Pakistani Taliban carried out a targeted attack in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing a Pakistani military intelligence officer named Wadood.
