The group based abroad, known as the Resistance, after consecutive defeats and isolation, is now trying to gain concessions for Afghan women in the name of Western rights and freedoms. They have now launched a campaign and new business in the West under the pretext that Afghan women are deprived of all Western rights and freedoms, and this front is trying to secure these rights for them with Western support.
This group, its leaders, members, and sympathizers have consistently employed various tactics over the past nearly four years to persuade foreigners, especially Westerners, to support them. They initially tried to convince Western countries and their intelligence agencies by claiming that if they supported them, they would ensure all kinds of rights for them in Afghanistan and even fight on their behalf, but the West should support them. However, they failed in this game themselves.
After that, they started making efforts to portray Afghanistan as unsafe, accusing that there are many groups and factions in Afghanistan, including ISIS, which they claim threaten global security. They even resorted to some forgeries to achieve this goal, but they never substantiated their claim to gain support through this means, so they failed in this game as well.
The Resistance group’s another attempt was to sow discord among the tribes residing in Afghanistan and thus find a place for themselves, but they failed here as well. Then they launched a series of other accusations which, like their previous attempts, were unsuccessful. Eventually, they fell into internal division and isolation, with numerous reports and information about widespread disputes and corruption emerging from among them, further fracturing them and pushing them towards isolation. With foreign investment, some temporarily established structures were dismantled, and they were effectively turned into enemies of one another.
Now, after a relative silence, they have attracted some of the corrupt and project-criticizing Western-based women to their team and structure, who have been active in this field for the past two decades and have received extensive funding from Western foundations and donors in the name of women’s rights and freedoms. They now want to take projects and money from the West again under that name and introduce themselves as defenders and sympathizers of women’s rights.
They have currently launched a widespread campaign in Western and other countries to show them that Afghan women are deprived of all the rights that Western women have. Therefore, if they are helped, Afghan women will be granted Western freedoms and rights. This is while Afghan women and Afghan society within Afghanistan have a strong aversion to Western values, rights, and freedoms, and even during the past two decades of direct occupation and extensive privileges, they did not accept these values and rights. Instead, all the work in this regard was carried out by a handful of corrupt and project-driven women, who have been affiliated with various ethnic and sectarian organizations and parties since that time.
