Najib Azad, a spokesperson for the Presidential Palace during the fallen republic, has claimed that among the individuals traveling to Islamabad is Fawzia Koofi, whom he claims of being involved in drug smuggling.
He stated that there is evidence proving that she was involved in smuggling, and in her province (Badakhshan) she was obstructing the progress of girls so that no one could take her place.
Najib Azad further added that this smuggler now talks about Afghanistan’s national values, while in reality, the voices of such individuals had no impact yesterday, have none today, and tomorrow their words will be utterly meaningless.
Najib Azad did not specify what kind of smuggling Fawzia Koofi was/is involved in; however, in the past, reports have circulated linking her to the smuggling of narcotics, foreign currency out of the country, and the trafficking of the nation’s historical Antiquities.
