Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russian forces are advancing across all fronts of the war.
He noted that around 3,500 Ukrainian soldiers are currently encircled by Russian troops in the city of Kupiansk, Ukraine.
Putin further noted that Russia has handed over the bodies of 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers to the opposing side, while receiving 26 bodies in return.
He added that a few days earlier he had warned that if negotiations fail, Russian forces would move to take additional Ukrainian territories by force.
