Mediators from Qatar and Egypt have put forward a new proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza, ranging from five to seven years, according to a report by New Arab.
The proposal includes the release of all remaining Israeli prisoners held by Hamas in exchange for a number of Palestinian hostages, as well as the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
In addition, Al Jazeera reported that representatives from Hamas have arrived in Cairo to discuss the proposal, which seeks to establish a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas for a duration of five to seven years.
