The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the humanitarian aid and rescue team designated for the victims of Sunday night’s earthquake in Kunar and Nangarhar provinces has arrived in Kabul.
According to a statement from the ministry, the aid was provided by the Qatar Fund for Development and includes two field hospitals, food items, medical supplies, and essential shelter materials.
It is stated that the aid will be distributed to nearly 11,000 people in need.
The Ministry added that the delegation to Afghanistan is headed by Dr. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and includes representatives from several security institutions.
