According to reports, Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz to all maritime traffic, halting passage through the strategic waterway in response to the Zionist regime’s attacks on Lebanon.

Iran’s Fars News Agency reported that only two vessels were permitted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz with Iranian authorization since early Wednesday morning. However, following the attacks on Lebanon, traffic through the strategic waterway has reportedly been brought to a complete halt.

The Iranian government has yet to issue an official statement regarding the reported closure of the Strait.

Despite a ceasefire agreement between Washington and Tehran, the Zionist regime launched more than 100 strikes on Lebanon’s capital, Beirut, on Wednesday. The attacks reportedly killed 80 people and injured around 200 others.

Reports note that those killed include former Hezbollah spokesperson Sadiq al-Nabulsi, along with several senior members of the group.

The Zionist regime’s defense minister stated that Hezbollah leader Na’eem Qassem was also targeted in the strikes but survived unharmed.
