    Syrian President Issues Decree to Establish National Security Council

    In a recent decree, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa has announced the formation of a National Security Council aimed at enhancing national security, addressing security and political challenges, and improving coordination among government authorities.

    According to a statement from the President’s office, the council will operate under the President’s leadership and include the heads of intelligence, as well as the ministers of foreign affairs, defense, and interior. Regular meetings will be held at the President’s discretion, and decisions will be made through consultations.
