The second round of the Islamabad conference in London, conducted under the guise of solving Afghanistan’s problems with Pakistani representatives, was in reality another stamp of mercenarism on the forehead of those Afghan government opponents who have sought refuge in the arms of foreigners, particularly the ISI, instead of their own country. The fact that these individuals gathered in London under the name of an intelligence agency, led by a smuggler, is merely a tactical change to give a “global and civil” facade to Pakistan’s direct interference. The organizers and financial backers of this meeting clearly indicate that the main mission of these individuals, instead of serving Afghanistan’s Islamic and national interests, is to safeguard the interests of the military circles based in Rawalpindi.
The most shameful aspect behind this intelligence meeting is that its participants are holding meetings in London with those Pakistani representatives under names like “Unity and Trust” or similar, who just a few days ago bombed a drug rehabilitation center in Kabul, killing around 400 civilian compatriots. The surprising thing is that these groups, under the name of the opposition, not only did not condemn this atrocity, but shamelessly defended Pakistan’s bombardment and sought justifications, proving that their loyalty is not to the Afghan nation, but to their foreign masters.
All the material expenses of this meeting, including flight tickets and hotel accommodations, have been covered by those addresses that have been primarily involved in the wars and destruction of Afghanistan over the past forty years. Although these individuals have gathered under the pretext of a political solution, they are actually discussing the implementation of Pakistan’s sinister plans aimed at reviving feudalism and civil wars in Afghanistan once again. They are advocates of plans that aim to keep Afghanistan perpetually dependent and subservient to its neighbors.
The discussions on federalism and the division of Afghanistan in the London meeting proved that these groups deny Afghan identity and are used as tools by foreign intelligence to undermine national interests and higher values. They hide their intelligence objectives under the guise of humanitarian values, but in reality, their leadership is in the hands of those who have previously proven their incompetence and dealings with foreign powers. The absence of genuine representatives of the people at the meeting clearly indicates that this is merely an effort by a specific and tested group seeking to gain power with foreign support.
History has proven that any movement born within the embrace of the intelligence agencies of regional countries only brings misfortune to the nation and destruction to the country. The organization of this meeting just one day after the “Pakistan Day” or the founding of Pakistan (March 23) sends a clear message that Islamabad has opened a new chapter of interference in Afghanistan’s internal affairs and wants to show how obedient mercenaries it has produced with the thirteen thousand rupees and a set of clothes from the first meeting. The Afghan people can no longer trust those faces who negotiate over the country in foreign capitals with foreign money and receive instructions from the address that is the main cause of all the Afghan people’s misfortunes.
The London meeting completely clarified the line between friends and enemies for everyone. The only way for the survival and independence of Afghanistan is to solve the existing problems within the country and maintain national unity, not to plan new conspiracies and imposed wars in the embrace of foreigners. Those who today in London negotiate the fate of Afghanistan and the blood of civilians, and defend the enemy’s bombardment, will forever be recorded in the dark pages of history as the “loyal mercenaries” of foreign powers.
