The New York Times has reported that Donald Trump’s administration is considering imposing strict travel bans and entry restrictions on citizens from dozens of countries. If implemented, the policy would prohibit nationals from at least ten countries, including Afghanistan, from traveling to the United States.

According to the report, the Trump administration is reviewing travel bans on citizens from 43 countries.

While the proposed measure is somewhat narrower than the immigration bans enforced during Trump’s first term, it still has the potential to expand. The decision has not yet been finalized, but the U.S. government has drafted a proposal categorizing countries into three lists.

Among them, the “red list” includes 11 countries whose citizens would be barred from entering the United States. These countries are Afghanistan, Iran, Bhutan, Cuba, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen.
