The Wall Street Journal, citing informed sources, reported that U.S. President Donald Trump is seriously attempting to overthrow the ruling regime in Cuba by the end of the current Gregorian year.
According to the sources, quoting an unnamed U.S. official, the issue was raised during meetings held with Cuban exiles and civil groups in Miami and Washington.
The official claimed that the U.S. government believes Cuba’s economy is facing the risk of collapse and that the Cuban government has reached its weakest state following the abduction of its main ally, Nicolás Maduro.
The report states that the United States is trying to bring to power individuals in place of the current Cuban government who are pro-American and willing to make all kinds of compromises with Washington.
