After a verbal confrontation between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a recent press conference at the White House, Trump has stated that Zelensky must apologize to him in front of the cameras and media.
According to a report from Fox News, a network closely associated with the Republican Party, Trump emphasized that U.S. relations and assistance to Ukraine are dependent on Zelensky’s apology.
Trump suggested that if Zelensky apologizes publicly in front of the media, there may be a possibility of continued support for Ukraine.
The report also quoted an unnamed senior U.S. official, who stated that, in addition to halting aid to Ukraine, any deal regarding Ukraine’s mining resources would be impossible if Zelensky does not offer an apology.
Sources further noted that although Trump made this announcement, Zelensky has yet to respond. However, it is evident that he is not prepared to apologize in front of the cameras.
