According to a Reuters report, the United States and Russia are set to begin talks in Saudi Arabia aimed at ending the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia.

These negotiations, involving only the U.S. and Russia, will not include European countries or Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has emphasized that any peace talks without Ukraine’s participation would be pointless. He stressed that Ukraine must be involved in all decisions and have a say in the process.

The U.S. and Russia’s peace talks follow a lengthy phone conversation between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, during which Trump indicated he would meet Putin in Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its readiness to host the talks.
