UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, Michael Fakhri, stated that the ongoing blockade by the Zionist regime has pushed the Gaza Strip into an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, Fakhri said Gaza is under a severe siege imposed by the Zionist regime, leading to the deaths of many Palestinian civilians, including children, due to starvation. He emphasized, “The ongoing famine and hunger in Gaza have no parallel in the modern history of the world.”

He further noted that UN offices have also been targeted in attacks by the Zionist regime, posing a threat not just to the organization but to the entire international community.

It is worth mentioning that four more children have died of hunger in Gaza in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of hunger-related deaths among Palestinians to over one hundred.
