The United Nations Special Rapporteur on human rights for Afghanistan, Richard Bennett, has stated that an urgent and independent investigation must be carried out into the Pakistani regime’s attack on a drug rehabilitation hospital in Kabul.
In a post on his X account, Bennett emphasized the need for a long-term ceasefire between Kabul and Islamabad, and called for those responsible for the “crime” committed by the Pakistani regime to be brought to justice.
He added that for lasting stability, the implementation of international laws and the protection of civilians must be a priority for all parties.
Additionally, experts from the United Nations have also stated that the Pakistani regime has clearly violated human rights and has no evidence to justify the attack on the drug rehabilitation hospital.
