Unidentified gunmen have shot and killed Mufti Shamir Bizenjo, a local head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) party, in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.
For several months, members of JUI have been repeatedly targeted and killed across Pakistan.
This attack follows a prior warning from the Almirsad Publishing Organization, which, citing its sources, had alerted about potential assaults on senior party members.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but many believe the Pakistani government is involved in such incidents.
