Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to visit India today (Thursday, December 4) for a two-day official trip.

International media report that the visit aims to further strengthen strategic ties and expand defence cooperation between the two countries.

Several outlets have also reported that the two sides may discuss the potential transfer of Su-57 fighter jet technology from Russia to India.

According to Kremlin, Putin will hold both formal and informal meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the visit.

He will be accompanied by cabinet members, senior military officials, and representatives from major Russian companies.
