The Afghan Consulate in Karachi reported that they successfully managed to release 29 Afghan prisoners from Karachi’s prisons and reunited them with their families.

Late last night, the consulate posted on its X page, stating that these individuals were detained by Pakistani security forces while attempting to enter Karachi via the Hub Chowki checkpoint in Balochistan.

The statement also released the identification cards of 29 Afghan refugees; however, only 15 individuals were shown in the released photos.

It’s worth noting that Pakistani security forces often disregard legal documents provided to Afghan refugees by the United Nations. Despite having these documents, the refugees are still troubled by Pakistani security authorities.
