Afghanistan’s electricity company (Da Brishna Sherkat) has announced the recovery of approximately 322 million Afghanis in unpaid electricity bills from former political figures and powerful individuals.
In a statement, the company confirmed it has also introduced an installment plan for those unable to pay their debts in full at once, aiming to ease the financial burden on defaulters.
It is worth noting that during the previous republican government, many powerful individuals and officials failed to pay their electricity bills on time, leaving the company with debts amounting to hundreds of millions of Afghanis.
