Pakistani Taliban (TTP) claimed responsibility for an ambush on a Pakistani military convoy in Mohmand district, saying the attack took place this afternoon in the Ziarat Ghaki area of Khwaizi Baizi district.
According to a statement issued by the group, the convoy was en route for military operations when it was attacked, resulting in the deaths of two Pakistani soldiers and injuries to eight others.
The statement also claimed that Pakistani forces bombed civilian homes the previous night and, following today’s ambush, used artillery to target nearby forests and surrounding areas.
