The Logar Directorate of Mines and Petroleum has announced the identification of 30 new mines in Pul-e-Alam, the provincial capital, and districts.
According to officials, recent surveys have confirmed the presence of these 30 mines, with extraction operations already underway at two of them.
Sources indicate that these mines contain copper, chromite, nephrite, talc, asbestos, celestine, mica, and several other valuable minerals.
Officials from the Logar Directorate of Mines and Petroleum stated that in the coming year, additional mines in Pul-e-Alam and remote districts will be offered for legal extraction through a bidding process. This initiative is expected to create employment opportunities for dozens of workers.
