Officials from the Directorate of Information and Culture in Ghor province have announced the commencement of a project to construct a gabion wall aimed at protecting the historic Minaret of Jam from flood damage.
Mawlawi Abdul Hai Zaeem, the Director of Information and Culture in Ghor, stated that this initiative is being implemented to mitigate the risks posed by floods. The protective wall encircling the Minaret of Jam will measure 267 meters in length and one meter in height. The construction is projected to be completed within 50 days, with an estimated cost of $32,000.
Zaeem emphasized that upon completion, this project will safeguard the Minaret of Jam from potential flood damages.
