The Ministry of Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice has issued a press release stating that its inspectors, in coordination with local authorities, have launched a campaign to prevent usury, hoarding, and price manipulation in commercial markets and shops. In observance of the holy month of Ramadan, the campaign has resulted in the collection of thousands of kilograms of expired goods during inspections across various provinces.
According to the report, the campaign has been carried out in the provinces of Herat, Kandahar, Urozgan, Sar-e-Pul, Ghor, Faryab, Jowzjan, Samangan, Takhar, Badakhshan, Helmand, Farah, Parwan, Panjshir, Badghis, Daikundi, Nangarhar, and Laghman.
During this process, the price regulations set by municipal authorities have been followed, and measures have been taken to prevent usury, hoarding, and price manipulation.
The Ministry of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice emphasized that the campaign will continue until injustice and inequality in the markets are eliminated, an economy based on Islamic values is established, and the existing market issues are resolved.
