Voice of Hindukush sources report that Pakistani police have abandoned an important checkpoint named “Shuhada” in the Khuzdar area of Qalat district, Balochistan, without offering any resistance. The police reportedly fled the area.

According to the sources, the Pakistani Taliban have taken control of the checkpoint and seized a Kalashnikov rifle, two magazines, a pistol, and cash left behind by the police.

It is noteworthy that in recent weeks, Pakistani soldiers and police have been abandoning their posts in Balochistan without resistance. A similar incident occurred a few days ago when Baloch separatists seized two Pakistani military checkpoints in the province.
