The killing of Haseeb Qowai-e-Markaz in Salang district of Parwan province, along with the arrest of 13 of his associates, prevented the implementation of the group’s alleged potential and destabilizing plans. Reliable sources say they intended to carry out a number of activities and disrupt the psychological security of members of society. However, before they could achieve their objectives, they were thwarted through a complex operation.
However, following Haseeb’s killing and the arrest of the 13 individuals, disagreements and distrust within the so-called Resistance Front, as well as at the mid-level with other fronts, have reached their peak. Haseeb Qowai-e-Markaz, who played a leading role in producing the Resistance group’s propaganda videos, represents a major loss for the group’s propaganda apparatus. His killing has also severely undermined trust within the group.
This comes as the leadership of the so-called Resistance Front, particularly Ahmad Massoud, has faced strong criticism at both the political and organizational levels for appointing his maternal uncle as the front’s representative in Pakistan and turning the front into a family-run organization. Following Haseeb’s killing, members of the group have become dissatisfied and believe that the lack of transparency, monopolistic practices, and favoritism within the group will result in further casualties among members who are sent into Afghanistan from Pakistan and other countries to carry out activities.
Members of the so-called Resistance group believe that by appointing his maternal uncle as the group’s representative in Pakistan, Ahmad Massoud is playing with the fate of members based in that country, as well as others who are being trained by the Pakistani military regime to destabilize Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, numerous disputes and disagreements have emerged among the so-called Resistance, Freedom, United, and other imaginary fronts over the support provided by the Pakistani military regime. As a result, one group attempts to obstruct another, while seeking to be used more than the other groups by the military regime for propaganda and political pressure.
These disagreements have also intensified several times in the past over support from other countries and intelligence organizations, resulting in some members of these groups being killed both mysteriously and openly.
