The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a press release that the interim government has released an American citizen, George Glezman, as part of a “humanitarian” move.

The statement emphasized that all matters can be resolved through dialogue, understanding, and diplomacy, highlighting that the release of the American national was a gesture of goodwill.

The press release further stated: “With the war in Afghanistan now over and groups like Daesh (ISIS) dismantled, Afghanistan poses no threat to anyone. This underscores the country’s role in promoting regional and global stability while demonstrating its ability to engage constructively with the international community.”

The statement concluded by expressing appreciation to the United Arab Emirates and Qatar for their mediation in the matter.
