According to a report by Mehr News Agency, Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian President’s Special Envoy for Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation, stated that Donald Trump prevented the outbreak of a third world war.
The Russian official further claimed that the Trump administration had achieved notable progress in negotiations aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.
Dmitriev made these remarks during a visit to the United States as part of a senior-level Russian delegation.
He is the highest-ranking Russian official to have visited the United States since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war in 2022.
