Many former officials, politicians, and leaders of various opposition groups and factions residing abroad feel that they have lost their international credibility and that no one is willing to support them. For this reason, their tone in social media and other gatherings has changed, and they appear disheartened by this situation. Their suspicion turned into certainty when the prestige of the Afghan caretaker government increased internationally, and it achieved significant diplomatic milestones. Recently, a high-level American delegation also visited Kabul for bilateral relations and discussions.
These so-called politicians, officials of the fallen republic, and leaders of various opposing groups and factions, after the fall of the republic in Afghanistan, launched extensive propaganda campaigns abroad against Afghanistan and the current government. They accompanied many slogans under the guise of opposition and resistance, showing people that with the help of foreigners, a war would soon start in Afghanistan, and in their belief, they would revive the old era of themselves and their foreign supporters.
These officials, politicians, and leaders of opposing groups who have been harshly criticized by the people within Afghanistan thought they had international credibility and that by leveraging that credibility and foreign support, they would regain their credibility within Afghanistan as well. However, they were unaware that as much as they are discredited within Afghanistan, they are even more discredited on the international stage, and no one is willing to support them. Although they have faced this situation from the beginning, they portrayed themselves as if the situation was in their favor and benefit. But when they saw everything in practice, they started to complain about this disappointing situation.
Corruption, embezzlement, oppression, usurpation, commitment to foreign interests, beating, torturing, and even killing people are the deeds that these politicians and faction leaders have recorded in their past history. Therefore, they have no standing within Afghanistan or in the international market; the little trust that existed in them has completely vanished in the past nearly three years. Both Afghans and the international community now consider the current caretaker government as the only legitimate address of Afghanistan and hold discussions, consultations, and negotiations with it on all matters.
The current caretaker government has proven its status, capability, and strength to its people and the international community, fulfilled its promises, and emerged from the heart and soul of the people. It has demonstrated all this in the past nearly three years. Therefore, even the enemies now view it as a rival and, despite significant and severe opposition, sit together to solve problems. This situation is progressing further, and the former expatriate officials, politicians, and leaders of opposing factions will further lose their lost status and eventually accept the realities.
