Local sources in North Waziristan told Voice of Hindukush that Pakistani police forces abandoned their vehicle and fled immediately after encountering a checkpoint set up by the Pakistani Taliban in the Tandi area, located along the road between Tull and Mir Ali.

According to the source, one police officer was shot and injured by the Pakistani Taliban during the escape, while others sought shelter in nearby civilian homes.
