    Ahmed Al-Shara Meets Iraqi Prime Minister to Discuss Bilateral Relations and Regional Issues

    The Syrian Presidential Office has announced a meeting between Ahmed Al-Shara, head of the country’s interim government, and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, held under Qatari mediation. The talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations and addressing key regional issues.

    According to the statement, both sides emphasized mutual respect for national sovereignty and independence, while firmly rejecting any form of foreign interference. They also agreed to enhance security and intelligence coordination to address shared threats.

    The statement added that the discussions also included the expansion of trade relations and measures to facilitate the movement of people and goods through border ports.

    Al-Shara’s office described the meeting as an important step toward improving bilateral ties and reinforcing regional stability.

    The meeting between the current leaders of Iraq and Syria was held through the mediation of Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim.
