    Afghan and Uzbek Sides Discuss Expansion of Bilateral Relations

    Dr. Mohammad Naeem, Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Usman Oybek, in Kabul to discuss various issues.

    According to the statement of Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, Head of Public Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting focused on the development of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, including trade, transit, and other important topics. Both sides emphasized the continuation of mutual understanding.

    During the meeting, Dr. Mohammad Naeem described the relationship between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan as historic and highlighted that there are currently ample opportunities for economic cooperation.

    On the other hand, the Uzbek Ambassador, Oybek, shared his plans regarding the Trans-Afghan project with Dr. Mohammad Naeem and expressed gratitude for Dr. Naeem’s active participation in the Termez conference.
