Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, attended and addressed the 9th China–South Asia Expo during his official visit to China.

In a statement issued by Arg, Mr. Hanafi described the expo as a key platform for enhancing economic, cultural, and political cooperation among regional countries.

He highlighted Afghanistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with China and South Asian countries in areas such as mining, energy, transit, technology, and trade. Citing Afghanistan’s strategic location, Hanafi said the country can play a vital role as a regional transit bridge connecting Central, South, and East Asia.

Hanafi reaffirmed that Afghanistan does not permit any individual or group to use its territory as a threat to others, avoids interference in the internal affairs of other countries, and expects the same in return.

He also expressed hope that the China–South Asia Expo would further promote and deepen economic and trade relations among countries in the region and beyond.

The 9th China–South Asia Expo was held in Kunming, China, with the participation of officials and representatives from various countries.
