Kabul hosted the foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Pakistan a few days ago, where a major and important agreement was signed regarding the feasibility study of the Afghan Transrail project between the three countries of Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

The signing of this agreement is considered a major economic and political step in terms of regional connectivity and interaction. As a result of this project, Central Asian countries will be connected to South Asian countries. The fact that Kabul hosted the signing of this project and the foreign ministers of the two neighboring countries attended demonstrates not only political and economic interactions but also regional trust. This means that the caretaker government can have active diplomatic relations with its neighbors and the world and present Afghanistan’s position as a responsible country.

The Afghan Transrail project is considered a valuable and vital project for Afghanistan’s economy. This project further strengthens Afghanistan’s transit and geopolitical position, and as a result of this project, thousands of job opportunities will be created for Afghan citizens. Previously, Afghanistan’s location was only used as a battlefield and for foreign intelligence games, but now it serves as a major border for a transit hub and regional connectivity.

Following the signing of the feasibility study contract for the Afghan Transrail project, some exiled opponents expressed their reactions and attempted to mislead public opinion about the agreement. The political opponents of the caretaker government are reacting against any progress in Afghanistan as they did before, but these reactions and oppositions are not random; rather, they are conscious, organized, and purposeful.

Conscious opposition is not based on reality at all but is created as a result of political complexes, personal failures, or for the implementation of foreign agendas.

Conscious enemies want to damage the legitimacy of the caretaker government, create a negative perception in the minds of international and Afghan people, and keep Afghanistan isolated in its opposition forever.

When conscious oppositions were in power, the railway administration had only a symbolic form, and progress was only on paper. This administration was originally created to pay the salaries of the sons and relatives of republican leaders, parliamentarians, and other powerful figures. The railway lines reached the borders of Afghanistan, and Afghanistan was located as a buffer in terms of regional connectivity. Nothing was ever known as the railway administration throughout Afghanistan because no work had been done on it.

The revenue from the Hairatan port, which is under this administration, was personally collected by Atta Mohammad Noor, and the revenue from the Aqina port went into Dostum’s pocket. With the arrival of the caretaker government, Afghanistan has transformed from a barrier to a transit bridge in terms of regional connectivity. Now, the revenue from this administration is fully collected for the caretaker government’s budget, which amounts to three to four billion Afghanis annually.

But, the opponents of the caretaker government do not surrender to the reality of Afghanista and consciously oppose Afghanistan’s progress. They are seeking to implement foreign agendas and are opposed to Afghanistan’s national interests.
