    Over 100,000 Metric Tons Transported via Railways in a Single Week

    The Ministry of Public Works has reported that a total of 103,263 metric tons of goods were transported through the country’s railway network between August 1 and August 7.

    According to ministry’s spokesperson Haqshenas, the shipments included 68,227 tons through Hairatan port, 6,049 tons through Aqina, 16,537 tons through Torghundi, and 12,250 tons along the Khaf–Herat route. The cargo comprised both petroleum and non-petroleum products.

    He detailed that exports totaled 597 tons last week, primarily consisting of dried fruits and pomegranate juice.

    Haqshenas emphasized that the Ministry of Public Works is committed to creating favorable conditions and expanding facilities for traders to further boost transportation volumes in the coming period.
