Al-Qaeda’s military branch, Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin, carried out three coordinated attacks against the army and government militias in Burkina Faso.
Sources close to the group told Azdlaqah that at least four soldiers were killed and one was captured alive.
They also reported that the group seized a significant amount of military equipment during the clashes.
