Divisions among Opponents; Fom Conflict to Killings

The murder of the Maruf Ghulami, a commander close to Ismail Khan, after a verbal altercation with Shir Ahmad Muldani in Mashhad, once again revealed the depth of the divisions among groups opposing the Afghan government. This event not only demonstrates instability within the ranks of the opposition but also testifies to the lack of cohesion, common purpose, and political ethics among them.

Opposition groups in Afghanistan are primarily composed of temporary coalitions, personal interests, and ethnic and political rivalries. The absence of a cohesive intellectual framework and the lack of unified leadership have led these groups to engage in internal conflicts, sometimes resulting in violence and murder, instead of focusing on political goals.

The presence of these individuals in Iran, especially in cities like Mashhad, indicates that some countries have indirectly become a platform for the destructive activities of these groups. The lack of strict oversight and competition for financial resources and influence among Afghan immigrants has led to bloody conflicts.

Violence and killings among opponents threaten the safety of Afghan migrants in host countries. Seeing these scenes, the people of Afghanistan are becoming more aware of the importance of stability and order.

Groups that identify themselves as opponents of the Afghan government not only lack a clear political program but also further tarnish their image among the people thru violent and inhumane behavior. The killing of Maruf Gholami is an example of this political immorality.

In contrast, the current Afghan government, despite the challenges, has been able to maintain administrative, security, and service structures. Relative stability within the country, border control, and reduced internal violence indicate better performance compared to groups that are unable to coexist even outside the country.

The people of Afghanistan should view these developments with reason. Supporting the current government means supporting order, law, and a predictable future. While joining opposition groups is equivalent to entering a world full of violence, distrust, and betrayal.

Many of these groups operate under the influence and support of foreign countries whose goals are not to serve Islam and the people of Afghanistan but to secure their own interests. Internal differences among the opposition often stem from competition over external resources and political influence rather than genuine concern for the people.

Afghanistan needs public unity more than ever. People should avoid division, violence, and following aimless groups, and supporting the Islamic government of Afghanistan paves the way for development, security, and prosperity. Internal divisions among the opposition are a warning sign for all of us.

The incident in Mashhad has a clear message: the people of Afghanistan must know that the path to the country’s progress does not pass thru violence and aimless opposition. Only by supporting the current government, participating in legal structures, and avoiding extremism can a bright future be created for future generations.
