Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shara, in his address to the United Nations General Assembly, emphasized that Syria has now become an important opportunity for regional peace, stability, and shared prosperity.
He stated that the country will move forward based on diplomacy, mutual respect, and lasting stability.
President Al-Shara pledged to bring all criminals to justice and vowed not to compromise on the establishment of justice.
He added that Syria will adopt clear strategies for national unity, social justice, and economic development.
He called for the lifting of international sanctions, asserting that these sanctions only affect the lives of ordinary people and hinder the path to peace.
Al-Shara thanked Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the United States for their support and constructive role and called for further cooperation.
He also expressed solidarity with the people and children of Gaza and affirmed that Syria will fulfill its responsibilities in the areas of human rights and international cooperation.
