Abidullah Farooqi, spokesperson for the Border Police Directorate, announced on his X account that the governor of Badakhshan has traveled to Tajikistan leading a delegation.

During the visit, the Afghan delegation met with the governor of Tajikistan’s “Kuhistan Mukhtar Badakhshan” province, the deputy head of Tajikistan’s National Security and Border Affairs, and other senior officials.

Farooqi noted that both sides discussed ways to strengthen coordination at border crossings and improve management at ports of entry.

In recent months, ties between Afghanistan and Tajikistan have grown closer, with both countries pledging to broaden and deepen cooperation across multiple sectors.
