Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that Russia may resort to military action if diplomatic efforts over Ukraine fail, saying Moscow would then seek to reclaim its historical territories by force.
He stated that Russia is fully aware that powerful NATO countries are backing Ukraine and providing it with weapons and military equipment.
Putin added that NATO continues to supply Ukraine with intelligence information and is also deploying military advisers to the country.
He further said that Russia’s armed forces are preparing to introduce and put into service new hypersonic missile systems in the near future, noting that Russia has also developed submarines capable of carrying and launching these missiles.
