SANA, Syria’s state news agency, reported that Syria’s interim president, Ahmad Al-Sharrah, has reached a ceasefire agreement with the Kurdish military faction, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

According to sources, after several days of clashes, the ceasefire agreement places the Kurdish forces under the authority of the central government led by Ahmad Al-Sharrah.

The agreement also mandates that these Kurdish forces withdraw from Syria’s Deir Ezzor and Raqqa regions, areas abundant in oil, wheat, and water resources.

Earlier, the Syrian interim government announced that Kurds living in the country would receive full citizenship along with all associated rights.
